Jamaica the jewel of the Caribbean islands, south of Florida, and two hours flight from Miami, is a scenic vacation destination. Vacation services that you will need in Jamaica should include but not limited to: AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION, TOURS/ATTRACTION SERVICES, ACCOMODATIONS. AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION: You arrive at the International airport in Montego Bay Jamaica you need a ride to your hotel; i recommend you pre-book this service online, why? Its too much hassle to seek transportation when you arrive in airports, i find it best to do so when i travel. Airport transfers come in two forms in Jamaica (1) shuttle (2) private so let me explain; SHUTTLE: is a much cheaper for of airport transfer service e.g. you could get a 50 miles ride to your hotel in Negril from the Montego bay airport for between $20.00 TO $25.00 U.S.D PER PERSON, but with low cost come draw-backs, the disadvantages i find with such a service is the wait in the airport for other passengers to arrive for the coach-bus to depart that wait could be up to 1 1/2 hour then along the journey there are stops at different resorts to drop-off passengers. Even on your return there is a disadvantage e.g., your flight is is at 3 pm local time, keeping in mind that you must be at the airport at lest 2 hours before but you shuttle company shuttle time is 10 am in the morning so you must leave on that time , can you imagine how much sun, beach, pina colada, you just gave up, by now you should see I’m not a fan of the Airport shuttle Service. but would recommend it for people on a extremely tight budget with a lot of time to spend in airports. PRIVATE AIRPORT TRANSFERS: This service can be purchased online, and is offered by quite i few companies, the services range from Private airport taxi, Airport limousine, Airport Executive Town-car. Reasons to go private include: NO waiting in airports, personalize service, private travel (your own vehicle and driver), pre-booked Travel Voucher, on-time pick-up for return trip, one price for up to four(4) passengers. Recommended companies Express Travel Jamaica (www.bookitvacationsjamaica.com New Service: since 2007 Express Travel Jamaica has been offering a Airport helicopter service from the Montego Bay Airport to Negril, Ocho Rios,,Boscobel,and Sandal Whitehouse Hotels, while i must admit i only used this service twice its and experience worth the extra dollars i had to pay and i escaped the long road trip to hedoism 2 in negril the return trip cost me $1200.00 but it was a birthday present so i was not being frugal it was worth the experience and one cost gives up to four (4) persons the ride you can check it out for your self. www.bookitvacationsjamaica.com Tel: 1876-598-5982 TOURS AND ATTRACTIONS JAMAICA While i don’t always recommend tours in my articles, I’ll make an exception for Jamaica. from climbing the over 600 ft Dunns River Fall, swimming with sharks, dolphins sting rays, at dolphins cove, playing with crocodiles on the Black River Safari Tours, Visit the spirit Bob Marley, Go Horse back Riding on the beach, go Duty Free Shopping, rum tasting, zip line , rain Forrest adventure River Rafting, snorkeling , fishing, just a few from the many contact: ACCOMMODATIONS: Over the years I have done the whole tray of accommodations in Jamaica from the all- inclusive, bed & breakfast, bed only, but last year i tried the villa rentals with a group 8 best friends it was Great!!!!!!! we stayed at a private Villa in ocho rios we had our own private chef, room attendant , bartender, and our own private beach a Jacuzzi, hot tub, private pool, all to ourselves , i ask my self why had i not vacationed like this before. But the price is not much more than a all inclusive resort sometimes much cheaper than , i am converted to private villa rentals from this point on. i might never do another all-inclusive again or at least I hope i never have to.
